Basically same comment to Pietro's proposal - good improvement but we may need to make a decision in terms of overall composition as swell as system.
I believe both square joint and spherical joint has great possibilities (I personally am interested in spherical joint system just because I never has seen such one before), and we have to make choice once two choices are showing equally promising solution. Also, as I have mentioned in Pietro's proposal, we also need to come up with conclusion if we want the horizontal layers to appear even spacing or random spacing. That seems to be a very critical issue in terms of design and quality of space we are creating - please discuss further among yourselves what is the best combination for the project. There shall be several point of view we should evaluate two choices - technical achievement, spatial quality and atmosphere, structural feasibility, cutting requirement especially in terms of using CNC router, material efficiency, etc.
I hope we can hear further discussion in next several days.

i also thought the spherical joint system is interesting. because using digital tools(in this case CNC laser cutter)complicated shape will have more meanings to use.
