The last comment by Naruki about negative space reminded me of this project, Mafoombey Acoustic Space by Martii Kalliala & Esa Ruskeepaa Mafoombey Acoustic Space – Martti Kalliala & Esa RuskeepääIt is quite a fun project, keeping a cube in the outside and a more organic shape in the inside. The disadvantages of this project though is that it uses an excessive amount of cardboard and there is really no transformability.

In our project, we have some space between layers, and that give us some hints to transform the space.
I'll post some illustration concerning this issue.
