The joint detail carries a nice sense of Japanese wooden structure, and good that it may actually allow you to change the connection angles. However, in the case of using t=6mm plywood, I would expect a lot of difficulty in real life to apply such joint detail which relies on the material thickness, especially if we are expecting "transformable" quality.
